William does everything with intention, integrity and care. I have attended his workshops, played and owned instruments... made by him, and used employed his artistic/design skills- always to my full satisfaction. Recently have been impressed with his feather protector spray. I would stand by and reccommend any of his products and services 100%.read more

Shot of the workstation from a few days ago. Carving stone and shell.

That beautiful guamo (conch shell trumpet) received a custom carving before leaving for its new home.

The trumpet on the right is going to Australia, second guamo headed to AUS in the last month. I’m very thankful to be able to provide one of a kind ceremonial tools (instruments and such) to people all over the world, thankful that I’m supported by those same people, and that I can in turn help provide for my family doing something I love and am passionate about.

Thanks to everyone who’s supported my work in the past and future!

A new pipe design in progress. Made in Canadian green soapstone this neo-Taino design represents Maquetaurie Guyaba (Taino cemi- underworld protector). This piece is an anthromophic bat spirit holding the gateway to Coabey (Taino underworld). I wanting to see what final decorative elements should be added before considering this piece completed.

Stone carving examples of past work throughout the last few years.

Carving stone not only takes detailed concepts and vision, but also strength and connection to the stone and direction. Stone carving isn’t for everyone, and I make custom pieces from visions or for custom commissions of other people’s visions.

Within this set of images you will see a black pipestone pan flute with crow design, and three unique pipes (two green soapstone pipes and a brown soapstone gecko pipe).

If you have a vision for a custom stone carving feel free to reach out!

Conch shell trumpet (aka Taino guamo) created in late 2020. This piece has a unique approach to the custom mouthpiece, which is made of cedar. The harvest hole was covered by a patch of natural mica. This trumpet also sports an awesome custom rope handle that weaves around the conch shell and make it travel easily.

For the last year I’ve been fine tuning my ceramic instrument making skills. Now I’m working on recreating an ancient looking patina on a new flute.

Working toward my goal of offering precolumbian ceramic instrument replicas, and new designs that are more contemporary but replicate an ancient artifact patina.

I want to be able to provide instruments that look and feel ancient, but for contemporary uses.
